Well, it's official. The gavel has been passed and I have been sworn in as your new CSI president. If you missed the June Awards Banquet, it was a lot of fun. The Awards Committee added a new type of award to the list - People's Choice Award. Check out the website or newsletter to see who all received awards this year. I hope that everyone has had a nice summer break and tried to stay cool. We have a great board signed on this year with excited chairs to run some committees. This will be a fun and exciting year. I hope that some of you can attend the Leadership Meeting in Huntsville, Alabama in August. It will be a lot of fun. I know the Huntsville Chapter is planning something scary for the Friday night event, since it is Friday the 13th. Don't forget our Annual Golf Tournament is just around the corner. Hopefully you have received a flyer about this tournament. This year's tournament will be held September 10th at Rebsamen Golf Course. So get your teams signed up to play. Also, if you can donate any goody bag items, door prizes, or sponsor the event, the golf team would appreciate any assistance. Our next chapter meeting will be August 10th. Check out the website for information on the speaker, location, and time. Hope to see you then. If you would like to help on any of the committees, just contact either myself or the chair. I would like everyone to get involved in the chapter if possible.
